Q: What are the advantages of Map search?

Map search places the profile data on the map, especially the location.

It will be visually appealing to see the profiles around you based on your search criteria.

Q: I could not view the data on the map. It takes lot of time to load. What to do?
This may happen because of the internet access speed. Use the normal search which will be relatively faster.
Login, Log out & Passwords
Q: How do I login and logout from Arathy.com Matrimonial website?

The Login and Logout options are found at the top of the arathy.com website.

Arathy.com uses your email ID as log ID & the password was provided by you during registration to us. Use forgot password option to retrieve your password.

Q: I forgot my password. How can I login to Arathy.com Matrimonial Service?

You can use forgot password option in the login page to retrieve your password.

Alternatively you can click HERE to retrieve your password.

Q: Can I change my profile ID?

No. The profile IDs are created by arathy.com website automatically.

This is a unique number and cannot be changed.

Q: How to find my partner in arathy.com matrimonial website?

It is simple. Register your profile with your photo and other relevant information. Use advanced search to select your potential matches. Express your interest or get the contact details from the profile and contact them personally.

Q: How to use the map to search the profiles?

Use the advanced search and after providing your criteria, select map search option to view the matching profiles in map.

Q: How can I change my contact details or matrimonial / marriage profile information?
Login to your Account in arathy.com. Select edit profile Update relevant sections and confirm.
Q: The registration form looks too lengthy, do I need to fill every thing?
We have made some of the fields mandatory, as it may be useful for the other members to decide on the suitability.
Q: My caste/subcaste/mother tongue not listed in the list.
In that case please use the option ‘Other’. We appreciate if you could send us the details to admin@arathy.com, we will do our best to add them to our online website.
Q: What is the 'Gotra / Gothram'?
Gotra is a classification and identification of castes in India. It indicates lineage systems, either patrilineal or matrilineal, in the Hindu community. Gotra is used as surname in some castes.
Q: What is the advantage of registering my mobile contact number?

Arathy.com gives great emphasize to informing our customers with their profile activity.

We send SMS when ever an interest is expressed / accepted by other members to your profile. This we feel will improve the success rate.

Contact number will also help the interested premier members to contact you without delay. So we strongly suggest you to include your mobile number in your contact details section.

Note: We will not provide/sell/rent your mobile number to any one for the reason mentioned/agreed in the terms and conditions for marketing purposes.

Q: I see some small icons on the search results. What do they mean?
This will be populated when the website goes online.
Q:What is profile Completeness score?
Profile completeness score shows how complete your profile is. Higher the score better the possibilities to find a better matching life partner.
Photographs, Horoscope
Q: Do you have guidelines for photographs?

It is advisable to give a photo taken by a professional photographer.

Q: Do you have photo size or image type restriction?

Yes. The photos should be of format JPG, JPEG, PNG or BIT.

The photos uploaded should not exceed 5MB in size individually. (TBD – Size and file types TBD)

Q: How many photos can I upload?
You can upload maximum of 5 photographs.
Contact members
Q: Can I contact members for free, without becoming a premium member?

Yes. All registered members can express interest free.

But to send personalised messages you need to be a premium member.

You still can view the personalised message without being a premium member.

It is absolutely possible to get your match without becoming a premium member.

But if you want to see contact details of the members then you need to be a premium member.

Q: I could not express interest on a profile more than once. Why?
It is restricted to raise interest more than once against a profile, as a policy in arathy.com. You still can contact the member through personalised message.
Q: Can I change accept or decline of a member?
Yes. You can.
Q: Can I express interest on a filtered member?
Yes. But your messages will be filtered to a different message box for display for the concerned member. There is still a chance to get a reply.
Q: Can I write a personalised message to any member?
Yes. But you need to be a premium member to write a personal message. Viewing a personalised message is absolutely free to all.
Q: Can I send SMS to other members?
Yes. But you need to be a premium member to write a SMS message. Viewing a SMS message is absolutely free to all.
Q: How will I know when an interest is expressed?

There are 3 ways to know it.

1. An SMS will be sent to your mobile mentioning the information

2. An email will be sent your email ID given to us.

3. The status can be seen, when you log in to your arathy.com account. So you can alsmost never miss the message.

Q: How long my messages are available in arathy.com?
Messages will be stored for 90 days for a free member and 120 days for a premium member.
Q: I found a matching profile. Can you contact the member for me?
As a policy arathy.com cannot and will not interact with other member for this matter.
Q: What is My messages?
My messages provides you a consolidated view of the messages you have received and sent.
Q: How do I express interest?
Interests can be expressed through multiple means in arathy.com. If you know the profile ID, go the option Search By Profile ID from the arathy.com home page and use the ID to view the profile. In the profile use the option ‘Express Interest’.

Q: What happens after I expressing an interest?
On expressing interest, your message will appear in to the member’s My messages section. Other member can view and can respond to your query. The responses will be sent back to you and will appear in you’re my messages section.
Q: How do I send personalised messages?
Personalised messages can be sent in two ways in arathy.com. If you know the profile ID, go the option Search By Profile ID from the arathy.com home page and use the ID to view the profile. In the profile use the option ‘Personalised messages’.

Q: How do I request photo?
Photo can be requested in two ways in arathy.com. If you know the profile ID, go the option Search By Profile ID from the arathy.com home page and use the ID to view the profile. In the profile use the option ‘Request Photo’. You can also click on the photo image to request the photo.
Alternatively, Go to advanced search option in the home page of arathy.com and search for profiles providing your preferences. The matching profiles will be listed as per your conditions. Select and view the profile and use the option ‘Request Photo’. You can also click on the photo image to request the photo.
Q: How do I request family photo?
Family photo can be requested in two ways in arathy.com. If you know the profile ID, go the option Search By Profile ID from the arathy.com home page and use the ID to view the profile. In the profile use the option ‘Request Family Photo’. You can navigate to the Family Details tab in the same screen and can click on the Family photo image to request the family photo.
Alternatively, Go to advanced search option in the home page of arathy.com and search for profiles providing your preferences. The matching profiles will be listed as per your conditions. Select and view the profile and use the option ‘Request Photo’. You can also click on the photo image to request the photo.
Q: How do I request horoscope?
Horoscope can be requested in two ways in arathy.com. If you know the profile ID, go the option Search By Profile ID from the arathy.com home page and use the ID to view the profile. In the profile use the option ‘Request Horoscope’. You can also click on the photo image to request the photo.
Alternatively, Go to advanced search option in the home page of arathy.com and search for profiles providing your preferences. The matching profiles will be listed as per your conditions. Select and view the profile and use the option ‘Request Horoscope’.
Q: How to view messages from other members?
Messages and interests from other members can be viewed inside the option My Messages. Log in to your arathy.com account. In the left hand side the ‘My Messages’ menu can be found.
Q: What are the Limits to view contact details?
We have set no other limitation than a fair daily usage of 25 profiles view per day. If you have used up all 25 then you can view another 25 contact on the next day. Normally the count will be reset at 07:30PM GMT.
Payments & Premium membership
Q: How to upgrade my profile?
Goto Membership screen and select the number of months you want to subscribe. Select the payment option and click upgrade button to upgrade your profile.
Q: What are the payments options available?
You can pay by
Online using Credit/debit card or netbanking or using paypal. Offline(India Only) using Cash or Cheque or Demand draft or Money order Check out Payments Options page for more details
Q: Is it safe to use my credit/debit card in your website?
Yes. Credit/debit card details are directly entered in to the payment processor website. The payment processor website has one of the highest possible online fraud detection possible.
Q: How long it takes to upgrade my profile?
Credit/Debit card – within 24 hours on receipt
DD/Cheque – 2-4 days depends on the cheque clearing
Cash – within 24 hours on receipt
MO – Within 24 hours on receipt
Q: What are the features of the premium membership

Q: Under what name, the DD & Cheque should be drawn to?
The cheque and DDs should be drawn in favour of ‘Arathy.com Matrimonial Services’. Please Check out Payments Options page for more details.
Q: I sent a Demad Draft / Cheque but still my profile is not upgraded. Why?
Normally the Demand Draft or Cheque takes around 3 days to clear from the day it was received in arathy.com office. Please write to us to know the status if you are waiting for more than 5 working days.
Q: I sent a Money Order but still my profile is not upgraded. Why?
Profiles normally will be upgraded within 24 hours of receiving the money order. Please write to us to know the status if you are waiting for more than 2 working days.
Q: Payment using credit/debit card accepted but still my profile not upgraded. Why?
The profile should be updated within 24 hours of receiving the payment. Please write to us to know the status if you are waiting for more than 2 working days.
Q: Why I could not view more than 25 profile contacts?
In order to avoid the commercial exploitation, we have restricted the number of view in a day to protect our customer interest. You should be able to view 25 more contacts on the next day anyway.
Q: What happens when I view the same profile contact twice?
Profile count is counted only once. Your second view is counted as a view for limit purposes only.
Q: Can I get my money back?
If a customer has viewed even a single contact we may not be refunding the money. If the payment was made in error, let us know we will investigate and if the investigation is in favour of the customer, we will refund it. Refund will not be made if the contact details are viewed. Q: How do I upload my success story?
Please go to the section success stories. Click here... Please upload your marriage photo and marriage date along with a short story on how it all happened to you.
Q: What is the benefit of loading a success story?
If you have uploaded a success story, arathy.com will send you a gift wishing you for a happy married life.
Delete or Hide profile
Q: How do I delete/Hide my profile?

If you want to delete your profile click here…. Then follow the instructions.

Deleted profiles cannot be reinstated. They will be permanently removed from our servers. Only the basic information will be kept for administrative purposes.

If you want to Hide your profile Click here… Then follow the instructions. Hidden profiles can be un-hidden whenever needed.

Profiles cannot be hidden for more than 6 months. Premium members can keep the profiles hidden for ever.
